Confident women leaders who know how to make their best contributions are needed now more than ever!
Working with Rita was an incredible experience. I realized I’m capable of reaching the next level, learned how to approach difficult conversations and situations and be more confident in myself, my abilities and my knowledge. |
I remember an executive woman leader who I met at a conference......
We had a very short conversation in which she asked for my business card. She had just stepped into a new and bigger role with a new executive manager.
On the surface she was a woman who looked like she had it all together. She was held in high regard in her organization. She was very successful and had built solid relationships with all the key players.
What she was struggling with was work life balance.
We started working together and she realized that she was giving all of her best at work and was coming home exhausted and had very little family time.
What she worked on was delegating more to her very capable team which then freed her up to leave work at a reasonable hour so she could spend more time with her family.
She realized she was making a mistake many women leaders make around delegation. She was concerned that delegating would put too much on her team’s plates. What she learned to do was delegate more than she was comfortable with (at first) and then coached and held her team accountable.
For her team it became an avenue to learn, grow and develop. For her it created time for her to do more strategic thinking and enjoy her family.

"Saved my sanity. Rita was compassionate and non-judgmental, yet got to the core issues and brought accountability. She provided helpful tools and unwavering support." ~ Sr. Project Manager "Gave me the courage to try some things that I would have been hesitant about. As a result, I set up my part of the organization well. I stayed on track to make things happen and I learned how to develop my direct reports." ~ Director |
I’ve coached many executive women leaders on confidence and executive presence.
So often smart women with great insights come to work with me because either they or their managers want them to become more confident and have more executive presence.
One woman was leading a technology team of engineers. She would have ideas and bring them to the team meetings but felt like she just couldn’t get much traction.
She realized that she was making a mistake many women make, which was that deep inside she was hoping for approval. She was putting her ideas out on the table in a way that felt tentative to the team, and was giving an impression that she wasn’t sure of herself.
In her executive coaching for women process, she began to believe in her ideas and learned what to do if her idea was shot down. Her confidence grew as she experimented with physically taking up more space until she found what felt natural to her.
She learned how to project a bigger voice and physically lean into the conversations more.
Her executive coaching made a big difference with her team, her manager and most of all the results they were able to achieve.
I fondly tell her that she is a “force to be reckoned with” now.

I’ve coached executive women who are in male dominated industries and teams.
It’s not unusual for these women to be admired by their peers and held in high regard by their managers. They often have a style of leadership that is desperately needed by their organizations.
However, when they get into executive team meetings their style is drowned out by others who are louder and more forceful. Through the WiseLeader Executive Coaching Process, these women gained tools, insights and perspectives and learned how to get their ideas across and hold their own in those environments.
In my 20+ years of doing leadership development for women and executive coaching I have seen the immense value in creating a safe space for female executives to tell it like it is and use new tools and processes to:
